GotF: Trolling Paladin Forums

Since our very first feature interview went to alliance, we thought it only fitting that the first featured guild should be horde. After shamelessly whoring ourselves out around the realm forum we were contacted by Caathelitea, leader of the relatively new guild <Trolling Paladin Forums>.

What is the story behind your guild name?

Well, trolling paladin forums became a standing joke to most of the founders a while ago. It started one morning with three people (who shall remain nameless) on Skype. They were all doing their separate things, and not really talking to each other, when one of them started moaning quietly. After a little while it gradually got louder and really awkward for the other two in the call, eventually one of them decided to ask if he needed a tissue! The first guy tried to laugh it off saying he didn’t know what he was on about, he was simply trolling the paladin forums.

Months later when a group of friends decided it was time for a change, to make a small guild of our own, we really wanted a guild name that would make us laugh. Something that was all about having fun, and so, for a good laugh and ever standing joke, we picked “Trolling Paladin Forums”.

PvP or PvE?
PvE, no doubt. The feeling you get when downing a new boss after wiping to learn him is just priceless. That being said, a bit of PvP can be good fun as well.

Horde or Alliance?
Horde, not necessarily because we’re better, but this is where we’ve always been, and even with faction change, horde will still be where we have our friends and all the people we know.

10 man or 25 man?
That’s easy, 10 man. The atmosphere is usually better. I believe it was said best by a guildie: “25man is like herding cats, simply not doable”. Its simply easier to make 10 people work together than 25 most of the time. That being said, 25 man is can still be great fun if done with good friends.

Social or Hardcore?
Best of both worlds? We’re here to play a game and have fun. That’s best done with friends, good humour, and for us, raiding in good spirit, joking around while still progressing and downing new bosses.

Loots or Laughs?
Laughs, absolutely. But anyone who says they don’t do it for the purplez too would be lying I think. Nothing wrong with wanting to kit your character out, its how blizzard designed it, but the essential is to have fun doing it.

Arena or Battlegrounds?
Uhm, both? Personally I like WG and BG’s most, but arena’s can be good fun as well.

Eastern Kingdoms or Kalimdor?
Not sure, think probably Eastern Kingdoms. I like the Blood elf starting area, and Silvermoon. STV is also a favourite levelling area.

Describe your guild in 3 words:
I only get 3 words? Crazy, fun, friends. Because we’re crazy, we have fun and we’re all friends!

Best wipe ever?
Probably pulling all the trash including Freya because we didn’t notice her coming!

Funniest moment ever?
Oh there’s so many to choose from I don’t think I can single one out. Most of our raids are good laughs, and just the general chit chat in the guild and on comms is great.

Why should people join you?
If they want to have a good laugh. That doesn’t sound special I know, but really, we make an effort to make raiding and the general time spent online enjoyable, whilst still progressing and doing achievements and hard modes

If our guild of the fortnight sounds like a good fit for you, you can apply to join through their website at http://paladinforum.phpbbhosts.co.uk/

If you enjoyed this post, or if you hated it and want to flame us more often, consider subscribing to our RSS feed. Does that sound like gibberish? More infoz over yonder.
