Well I’m not Gralius as you can see, Mr Crapname himself seems to have gone AWOL so I thought I would fill this instalment of “Crapname of the week”.
I think we have all established that we should be mocking the name and not
the player (I don’t wanna get flamed *runs away into a corner*) maybe I should grow some but I am sure our next contestant is a wonderful human being, but just had an off day when naming his character.
So putting my neck on the line I stumbled across Deathknigth the other day in Dalaran and couldn’t help but giggle to myself and screenshot.
I have an extreme aversion to anyone that spells their name as a variation of their class name:
- Déáthknite
- Dknight
- Därknite
- Deathkníght
They’re all guilty and really annoy me. I suppose I can at least spell this one without scratching my head and it does make me wonder whether or not it’s just a typo, but if it was, surely you would just say “Doh” delete it and try again. If not I do wonder
why he couldn’t think of anything better.
So Mr Deathknigth if you would like to raise your hand I will personally pay for a name change!

On Horde side there’s a tauren DK called Deathtuaren, makes me snicker every time I see it.

I admire Deathknigth.
He makes a mistake spelling a word. Unlike others who would delete the char in shame, he stands by his mistake.
He joins a guild where the word is spelled correctly, just to keep reminding himself never to make the mistake again.
He learns, he grows.
We should all take a good look at Deathknigth and hope to become more like him one day.
Reminds me of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, ‘Go away you Eeenglish Ker-niggits!’
