Feeling like your battleground companions could do with a bit of a morale booster? Love being the hostess with the mostest? Then this achievement is for you!
Basically you will have to host an impromptu dinner party at each of these battle grounds, serving a delightful Great Feast (don’t forget a rich gnome stew will accompany this main course perfectly.)
- Alterac Valley
- Warsong Gulch
- Eye of the Storm
- Arathi Basin
- Strand of the Ancients
To get this achievement, first go to any cooking trainer in Northrend to learn Great Feast (will show up as Feast in your cooking log) once you have a cooking level of 375.
Join the queue for Strand of the Ancients, Eye of the Storm, Alterac Valley, Arathi Basin, and Warsong Gulch. Once any of the 5 battlegrounds pop up, enter the battle and lay a Great Feast for your guests.
Do not leave a battleground as you will get the Deserter debuff if you do. repeat this for every battleground until you get the achievement.
Raw Materials for the 5 Great Feasts you need:
- Chunk o’ Mammoth x 5
- Shoveltusk Flank x 5
- Worm Meat x 5
- Chilled Meat x 20
Top tips
Despite being referred to as a “Great Feast” in its tooltip, the Small Feast does NOT work for this achievement. Presumably, neither does Gigantic Feast.
If you join a BG in the middle of the BG – you will not get credit for the achievement until after the BG is over. (This has been confirmed by myself and a couple other people here)
If you lay out the feast in a BG that is not full and it gets cancelled, you will STILL get credit
You can cook them ahead of time all you need to do for the achievement is set them out.
You CAN get credit even if you leave the BG as long as you set it out at the very beginning and you see the checkmark in the achievement window as confirmation. Once you get the checkmark you do not lose it for leaving early.
Remember: Food poisoning will not help your comrades in winning the battle, please remember to cook all meat thoroughly
