StormGuard

“A friendly community that keeps on getting better!”

Who We Are

StormGuard is a friendly and social guild that focuses more on forming strong friendships and a happy community than raid progression. We have not completed any raids, but we are happy to form semi-guild runs and help members to raid. We also organize realm-wide events as a guild in which members are asked to volunteer.

What We Offer

While we don’t offer regular raids like most guiilds, we offer something more – a strong and friendly community of casual players who just want to have fun and make friends. We organise guild events and realm-wide events which all members can participate in and have fun. We offer a place for everybody to talk to each other about anything, we offer the chance to form friendships, we offer a great time playing WoW.

What We Want

We accept anyone, regardless or age, race, gender, level or class, as long as they are people who want to make friends, have a laugh and be part of a community. We also want people willing to volunteer for organised events, which can be very fun. We DO NOT want people with a bad attitude towards others, people who just want to take from the bank or beg for boosts.

Recruitment

If you are interested in joining, please whisper or mail either Thealmightyf, Zeraldia, Blazehard or Goldflake ingame for an invite.

Tabula Rasa

“WoW is a game, not a job”

Who We Are

Tabula Rasa, TR, is a guild for adults over 21 years. It’s very casual, but still raids 10 man content. We take great pride in our sick perverted sense of humor, and live by the ethos “WoW is a game, not a job”.
Raids are a lot more about the fun in ventrilo and silly jokes than equipping new purples (though purples are never bad either)

What We Offer

Good sense of humor
Ability to play with other adults, somewhat sharing your interests etc
10 man raids with a light heart (if we wipe we don’t whine about it)
No ninjas and the ability to talk about loot without being childish
Old school raids and silly RP events
Helpful people

What We Want

All sorts of people from anywhere in the world – only requirement is the 21 year limit.
Personality > class/spec/gear

Rules of Engagement

“About time we achieved something”

Who We Are

We are a lazy ass casual guild maybe getting 1 to 2 guild raids per week, but mostly hanging out on the PUG scene.

What We Offer

We have a good social core, and some well geared characters and great players, who help out and offer advice.

Usual guild bank & tabard, plus a good enviroment to chill and play WoW without the demands of having to log-on to raid or be booted.

I myself will regulalrly put together the 25 man facerolls that are Ony & VoA every week, getting guildies in first.

In general IRL > WoW

What We Want

Well it would be nice to be able to fill raids from guildies, so tbh anyone who wants a friendly guild give us a shout.

We don’t care about achievements or gear, but if you are wanting to raid, a modicum of respectable gear and a knowledge of your class would be helpful.

Recruitment

Contact either myself (Gardén) or my alt Galadruin or speak to an officer.

We have no hard and fast rules, and as long as you are not on the guild ignore list, it shouldn’t be a worry.

Leadership

Ronebone is the GM and has 5 ALTs as well so he should be about.

Forsaken Enlightenment

“For the toe!”

What we stand for

Forsaken Enlightenment (FE) is a friendly, social raiding guild who pride ourselves not just on our epics and how many bosses we have slapped, but on our wonderful members.

Our members are a varied, crazy bunch and can often be seen busting some moves dressed in Twilight Cultist Gear (don’t people know its better than Tier 8.5) Our Guild Master Tethane can be observed pulling out her hair due to “hit maths”. Sycamorechaz is ALWAYS naked and tanks best this way! And Dawnrazors new pimp outfit is always the talk of the town.

Where we have been and where we are going

FE has been active on Emerald Dream for almost a year and a half now in TBC we had Kara and ZA on farm. Cleared Maggy, that ugly pile of /fail Gruul and ventured into SSC, TK and MH with much success.

What we are looking for

Its personality and skill rather than anything else that matters, age is not really relative as long as you have a mature attitude and most importantly a sense of humour!

I will add that I like a guildy that researches there class and spec, the only way you get a great player is if they care, there are many websites that help you make the best of your character and give information on kit upgrades, gems, enchants etc, they should be utalised.

What we expect *hits table with fist in authoritative way*

They say friendliness is next to godliness! We like a good chinwag, with conversations that can include the following, the state of world politics, which one of Girls Aloud does Kilkal want a bit of today, why Chaz is naked again, that time I left my cervix on the bus and why Majikthise is dancing AGAIN in the swirly void zones of doom.

We may be a social raiding guild but we still have no tolerance for non attendance of signed raids. Just remember we are all a part of a family and you wouldn’t leave your little sister waiting for a lift home in the rain, WOULD YOU……

We expect all raiders to be able to log onto our Vent server, even if you cannot talk, listening is a must (even if most of it is me screaming “I’m gonna die, I’m gonna die, I’m gonna die.”)

How to sign your soul over

Well, you have two choices, either fill in the application on the guild website forsakenenlightenment.guildlaunch.com or whisper Tethane, the GM or Dawnrazor our Recruitment Officer with any questions in game.

Before you do this be sure to read our Guild Charter and browse through the website so you get a good idea of what you may be letting yourself in for!

Fighting Mongooses

“Casual raiders, hardcore fishermen”

Who We Are

At our core, we’re a group of real life friends and the excellent people we’ve found in game. Our ages range from 13 to 40+, we have parents, couples and single folk, men and women, and even some Welsh people. Some of us might get a bit hardcore about rep grinding on occasion *looks at herself in disgust* but we mostly accept that real life > WoW and have a few members with very limited playing time.

Our atmosphere is friendly, and while we’re not the biggest guild around we do have nice lively guild chat on an evening and usually a couple of people on in the afternoon/stupid o’clock in the morning too.

As much as the phrase “any level or class” may strike fear into the hearts of those looking for a halfway decent guild, in this case it’s true. Yes we raid, and yes a lot of our core members are already 80, but there are plenty of alts and lowbies to keep anyone company. It’s the personality that matters to us, and if you’ve got that you could be level 1 and still be figuring out which button makes you sit down for all we care.

We’re very newbie friendly (mostly because I’m obsessed with helping them) and will take players with any level of experience. Nobody will make you feel bad for asking “silly” questions, unless you’re Villen who really should know better by now.

What We Offer

PvE
We raid a couple of nights a week, in Ulduar/TotC with emphasis on fun rather than loot. Everyone is expected to do their research and come prepared but we don’t get too stroppy about it if we die. We also try to fit in Naxx etc for the newer 80s whenever a free night comes up.  While most of our raids are 10-man, we have been known to foray into 25-man things occasionally with a friend’s guild.

We also organise regular retro raids for those of you who may miss or have never seen the vanilla/TBC raids.

PvP
The guild 5v5, Confused & Aroused, is looking for a couple more members so we can be flexible about what nights we play.  There has recently been an explosion of 2v2 and 3v3 teams within the guild too, prompting a guild arena tournament (complete with prizes at the end of each season). You’ll find a few of us working haphazardly towards that distant and glorious Battlemaster title, and certain of us are often to be found bullying the rest into fighting valiantly for possession of Wintergrasp…even when we’re not planning to run VoA.

Progression within the guild
Our most active/loyal/trusted/generally brilliant members gain promotion and perks such as more access to the guild bank and generally not having to get officers to do everything for them as well as the awe of their fellow guildies and the air of superiority that comes from being “in the boss’ good books”.

A helpful atmosphere
Whether you’re a total WoW newbie or an inexperienced 80 we’ll never make you feel bad about not knowing something. Think about it, if we train you up we can guilt trip you into coming to heroics with us later down the line…it’s win/win!

What We Want

Be friendly
There’s no point joining a guild whose members you have no intention of getting to know

Be active
What better way to get to know us than to run a few instances or whatever tickles your pickle? We also encourage everyone to use the guild website and forum.

Be mature
We have no minimum age limit for membership, as we’ve found from past experience that people of all ages can end up acting like whiny bratlings. Don’t, and all will be well.

Be helpful
Our members help each other, be it with advice or help with quests or instances. That is after all one of the main advantages of a guild.

Note: If you wish to raid with us there are of course certain expectations. You will need to sign up to raids, and turn up on time with the required consumables. You will also need to at least listen in on Ventrilo, even if you’d rather not talk. Yes it’s casual raiding, that’s no excuse not to do it properly.
