Welcome back to our resident “Bad Aunt” no problem is to big or small for them to tackle. Many poor souls out there in Azeroth have no vent for their issues or concerns, but now thanks to Emerald Dreamers you have a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on. Send in your problems to contact@emeralddreamers.co.uk

I think I may be going mad Emerald Dreamers, I am a lovely healing tree but sometimes I’m not, sometimes I feel that there are many different versions of me, one violent and aggressive, one that can run fast and another that can sneak about, one that can even swim. I’m a little lost to what this all means and scared I may have multiple personality disorder. Can you help explain what’s happening to me?

Frightened tree – Moonglade

Dear tree, although this may sound to you like multiple personality disorder I can assure you that what you are suffering from is very common for all Druids.

Let me explain. You have the option to be all of the things above, a travel cat, sneaky cat, ferocious bear, flying bird, super lazor chicken and even a sealioncowthing. This all really depends on your personality, I can see here you found a happy form as a tree.

The causes

This problem has probably arisen from external pressure, maybe one of your friends has pushed you into changing who you are for Icecrown, perhaps they need a tank or a damage dealer to progress further into the Citadel and because you are such a versatile class have recommended that you give it a go.

The second cause could probably be that you have been healing so much the more vicious side of you wants to get out, the animal within wishes to scratch an itch.

Overcoming the problem

I always advise to give into your desires, if you are experiencing this urge to change in increased frequency I recommend letting go and exploring the benefits, just remember that this is all perfectly normal.

If however you are happy as a tree be sure to avoid the peer pressure you may have recently encountered, if necessary leave them far behind and join a lovely guild called Forsaken Enlightenment who I have heard would give their (HAPPY NOW NEC!!) left leg for a tree!

Side effects

Be warned, there are many side effects when selecting a form you may not be used to, please see the list below for more details.

Sexual appetite: If you decide on a cat form you may develop the tendency of humping random strangers legs, or more worryingly for them, forcing relations if they happen to be lying down.

Suicidal tendencies: Many druids once discovering shape shifting will often attempt to plummet from great heights incorporating all forms into the jump. This can often end up in sudden death and is not advised.

Cannibalism and eggs: If a Moonkin form is selected be wary of people that look at you hungrily. You may also find that you might lay an egg.

Stupidity: Deciding on a bear form may mess with your intelligence slightly, be wary of attacking to many enemies at the same time, it could lead to death.

Cowardice: In situations of possible death, a druid that has mastered shape shifting has the abilities to live almost every time. While this is wonderful as a druid it can lead to everybody else hating you.

I hope this has answered your concerns.

I am pleased to introduce you to our resident “Bad Aunt” no problem is to big or small for them to tackle, so many poor souls out there in Azeroth have no vent for their issues or concerns, but now thanks to Emerald Dreamers you have a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on. Send in your problems to contact@emeralddreamers.co.uk

I have a rather embarrassing problem, I’m raiding, the heat is on, I’m excited, maybe to excited, no one calls for it but yet I can’t help it, my body goes into over drive and I prematurely use heroism. My leader has been sympathetic so far but I can tell she is getting frustrated with my performance, how can I solve this issue and fully satisfy my team.

Sad Shaman – Exodar

I fully sympathise with your plight, let us address exactly what this is and why it happens to so many Shaman over Azeroth and beyond.

What is premature heroism?

Definitions of premature heroism have ranged from “casting within six spells” to “casting within two minutes” and even “casting before your leader says”.

A simpler definition is that if you cast before you want to and you feel you’re not able to control it, then you’re suffering from premature heroism (or PH for short).

Bear in mind that most Shamans will cast sooner than they’d like on some occasions, particularly if under stress or in situations of very high excitement.

Some Shamans may only suffer from PH when they’re raiding. Some feel they cast too quickly whatever the stimulation. Others feel they have little control even when they’re alone perhaps with a training dummy.

The causes

Shamans with PH aren’t able to recognise what is called the “point of inevitability”. This is a sensation that occurs just a few moments before heroism. Shamans who don’t suffer from PH are able to recognise this sensation and stop until the urgency has subsided.

Most commonly, Shamans who suffer from PH will have had it throughout their raiding life and won’t ever have noticed this “point of inevitability”. There are a number of reasons why this might have happened. It may be that initially, raiding was always rushed or was associated with feelings of guilt or anxiety.

Sometimes Shaman become quick heroism casters because of leader pressure to “get it over and done with”. Whatever the original cause, the body gets used to responding quickly and rapid heroism becomes the norm.

Self-help techniques

There are a number of things you can do to help yourself to recognise the point of inevitability. You might choose to practise alone at first, then discuss it with your leader and ask them to help you overcome this problem.

Relax: This is the most important thing you can do. Listen to some whale song, have a nice relaxing bath perhaps with some frost lotus in it.

Tackle relationship issues: Be sure that your head and heart are in the mood for raiding as well as your body. If you’re unhappy about something with your leader then sort it out first.

Exercise your heroism muscles: Many men say they are able to delay heroism by squeezing or pushing their heroism muscles.

Stop and start: This is the most common technique used in therapy. Practise stimulating yourself to the point just before Heroism, then stop. Start again when the sensations have subsided. Repeat this three times. You should find the length of time before each stop gets gradually longer.

Gnome therapy: Recent research has uncovered that ensuring a gnome is present in your raid can substantially reduce the chances of premature heroism, just make sure you are positioned next to them during the encounter. Some side effects have been recorded such as gagging and increased foot reflex action but if the PH is severe it may be a solution.

I hope this information has helped and want to wish you the best of luck in coming to terms with and solving your problem.
