It seems Alliance have pissed off the Horde a little more than normal, never adhering to the “Keep off the grass” signs in Oggy and behaving in a totally inappropriate way, finally one has cracked, (although we all know he cracked a long time ago!) Recent Alliance defector Awoken has issued a call to arms on both Horde and Alliance sides for some good old fashion World PvP funnage. In his own words I present to you Awoken!
I’m crap at PvP I can’t and won’t deny it, but sometimes when getting pummelled in Wintergrasp, pausing for a cup of tea whilst letting a Rogue dance about and rip me and my crappy PvP robe to shreds, I think, wouldn’t it be nice to have some arena gear so I have some sort of chance, but that’s never going to happen.
BUT WAIT! There may be an answer! It comes in the form of the cheeky and notorious Vinnayo and his arena boosting services.
Ok well maybe Love is in the Air was the other week, but I was gallivanting around London at the time so you’ll just have to make do.
I’ve been half of a gaming couple, and known a lot more, but couples who actually met in World of Warcraft tend to be thinner on the ground. In all my time playing the game I think I’ve met a grand total of 3. Anyway the plan was to hunt down one of these couples and show the world that not all guildie-flirting is doomed to fail, but to my surprise it was difficult to find volunteers. It would appear that hooking up with someone in your guild usually leads to drama, and two of the couples I asked didn’t want to come forward for fear of reopening old wounds. It’s sad to hear that people will concentrate on the potential downsides of guildies getting together, and worry that there’ll be favouritism and jealousy, rather than being glad that two friends have made each other happy. Then again I’m often accused of being a big hippie so maybe that’s just me.
Aaaanyway, just as I was starting to get desperate and worrying about explaining my lack of an article to Tethane (she’s scary when she’s mad!), Thindra and Zarrak walked into my life and Thindra was more than happy to save the day! There are some very well known WoW-based studies out there, and we’ve probably all filled in at least one poll or questionnaire about our favourite pastime. There are reports on our avatar choices, our “addictions”, our online relationships and a lot else besides.
What you may not know is that we’re harbouring one of these research types on our very own realm. Not one of those reactionary negative types we hear so much about, but someone who genuinely enjoys the game and just happens to have an opportunity to delve a little deeper. I present to you…Monava.
