fun whilst playing the game whether we are chilling in Dalaran or winding Gothguy up!

What we offer

We try to bring a cool, relaxed, social and raiding enviroment, where we see epics as tools for the guild and rewarding hard work rather then the individual epeen and just general fun. We’re also in a co-op with

The Yogho Yogho Allstars

“The freedom of epic failing!”

Who we are

We’re a very small guild, consisting of friends that like to team up. Some of us are getting weekly invites by the bigger (more progressed) guilds on the realm. Therefo

re it does not limit them being in a guild that has no progress. We’re not actively recruiting, but we care about the person more than about the character.

As a guild we had many rerolls, a lot of people left due to several reasons. Some of these reasons involve the hunt for epics, still, the core of the guild is intact. We dream about getting into more content, like raids, but we value being part of this guild more than changing guild.

The name of the guild comes from a Dutch commercial and a Pet Shop Boys song. I honestly do not remember what song it was, but it was easy enough to yell ‘yogho yogho’ on the melody. The commercial is a milk/yoghurt drink also and is very nice to look up on YouTube.

Using Yogho Yogho in the name of the guild would be too much name strealing, so we gave it a twist. To us Yogho Yogho means we wipe on trash mobs or just being n00bish, even when most of us have several level 80′s. We are able to enjoy a few wipes on a run. The Allstar part is when we play very well. And yes, we are able, although it is rare.

Not sure what I can add more. If you’d like more info, please contact me through mail or ingame.

Thanks for this great blog!

What we offer

Pretty much what is stated at ‘What We Offer’.

The Firm

“From Injustice Rises Might”

Who we are

The Firm is the biggest social guild on WoW Europe – Emerald Dream – Horde side, active ever since February 26th 2005.

You can see members of all levels and all interests carrying our guild tag in any part of Azeroth, be they lower level players questing their way in the Old World areas and instances or level 80s working their way through end-game content. You will see us in PVE raid instances, be they 10 or 25 men, in battlegrounds, or you might bump into us in one of our unique world PVP raids.

What we offer

We offer a very active guild, a non-abusive raiding environment, plenty of alt runs, tons of heroic runs and pre-made BG fun. We offer a guild that guides itself by the first rule of playing as a team – ‘don’t be a jerk’. We stand by that attitude equally when it comes to new recruits, old time members or officers.

What we want

We want someone that is interested in raiding 25 men content about 3 days per week, but not into invoking raiding ‘casually’ as an excuse for bad play, lack of politeness or simply slacking. We don’t run 25 men each day of the week, nor will we at any point in the future, but when we’re in a raid, we’re serious about raiding (just as much as we’re un-serious when it comes to late night guild chat).

We want people with a sense of humour and a common-sense when it comes to raids. We want no drama queens, people that raid for epixxx, people that would rather spend their time looking at dkp lists then to help a guildie get the last emblem for a gear upgrade. We want people that sometimes actually stay online half an hour more in an evening just to chit-chat with guildies, not people that log on at raid time, do their job, log off, and never speak in guild chat.

We want people that know that forums are more then a place to post an application, only to never visit them again after being accepted. We want people that can read a strategy debate around some boss fight, but also a conversation about the music of the 90s, and that get involved in both of them when they feel they have something to say. We want people that can speak and understand English at an acceptable level.

We don’t use DKP, but an enforced priority roll system that tries to help distribute the gear for the good of the guild as a whole.

Twenty Percent Sober

“Good food, good wine, good company”

Who we are

TPS started as 5 old friends and long-time players of WoW wanting just to drink, have fun, drink and talk rubbish while drinking. What turned out to be the strangest thing is that we were not alone and pretty soon the guild was growing.

We are a mixed bunch of men and women (and the occasional “confused”) scattered from Ireland to South Africa, Devon to Cyprus. We do not have any young members because we are best described as ‘ribald’. A signficant proportion of the guild are parents and cries of “AFK, baby awake” are not unusual, although rarer statements like “AFK, the cat fell in the toilet whilst I was peeing” have also been heard.

The diversity is not just geographic it also applies to play styles: We have people who raid multiple times per week, both through the guild and through part-guild/part-PUG. But we also have people who have only 1 or 2 toons and no level 80′s.

What we offer

PvE
We’re trying to raid at least a couple of times each week, preferring to have a fun evening than obsess over progression and loot. Mostly it has recently been 10-man Ulduar and TOTC, although the occasional old-world classic raid or run to Naxx is not unheard of.

The philosophy when raiding is that any single mistake results in an instant gkick, and public humiliation via the Trade channel. What? You don’t believe us? Damn. Ok, that’s not true. Our philosophy is that we’re there to have fun, and that knowing tactics will help, but being an ass won’t. Mistakes happen, generally we laugh about it, and just try again. (and sometimes a third time, but there’s no point being a damned fool about it!).

Drinking whilst raiding is entirely encouraged, especially if you’re on Teamspeak and can be heard getting more and more drunk as the evening progresses. We have to draw the line at anyone drinking Pimms, though. Or Babycham.

We have no ‘hardcore’ elite raiding team. we do not have pre-requisites for people to be included on a raid and we do not operate a DKP system of any sort. However, if we know a raid to be against a challenging boss then we will generally pick the better geared/more experienced toons/players until we have a good knowledge and experience of the boss(es) and are able to take less well geared toons and still have a chance of success.

PvP
Whilst some members in the guild have formed their own teams for PvP or arena, it’s not something that is a focus for the guild.

What we want

Always it is about fun.

Guild chat is quite active, although if you’re grinding and not paying attention you’ll generally be left in peace… while the rest of us take the mickey out of you.

A lot of instance runs are organised in-guild and it’s only when we start to run out of alts that are not locked to instances that we really need to look for outside help. That said, there are a lot of us with friends (and former TPS members) in other guilds and these are usually our first port of call when we are looking to fill slots.

Guild bank access is pretty relaxed although, due to 2 separate account hacks in the past, we have had to put a few restrictions in place.

We use TS (Teamspeak) and ask people to come onto TS during raids even if it is only to listen to ensure everyone knows what is going on. People are welcome to use the TS server even when not raiding and frequently do!

Our playing times, coupled with the nature of the guild, mean that we do not have any young members. It’s not that we have a preference for ‘older’ players nor a minimum age for membership, just that you need to be an adult (preferably an ‘adult’ without being too ‘grown up’ ) to get the best from the guild.

Recruitment

TPS does not actively recruit as we tend to find people coming to us to ask if they can join. The single most important characteristic for new members is their attitude – If you make it onto one of TPS’s members friends lists and have teamed up with them a few times then you can ask them about joining. If they are willing to introduce you to the guild then we’ll see what we can do

Leadership

We have 4 GM’s and any of them can speak as the GM and all of them have full GM powers (as close as the game mechanics will allow)
