Bonzo is reminiscing for us this week, fed up of the FAILPUGs and things hitting HIM in the face (that’s the wrong way round) Bonzo casts his mind back to happier times……….. or were they!<

Public Service Announcement: Your Account is NOT Suspended
Well, it might be, but probably not if you get a whisper like this one:
[Pnhsnip] whispers: hello!
[Game Master]GM: Your world of warcraft account has been temporarily suspended. go to [keyloggingsitegoeshere]
I’m sure none of our
readers would fall for such a thing, but you can’t say you weren’t warned. Remember, if it’s really a GM not only do they get a nice
blue blizzard logo next to their name instead of just “GM”, their chat with you will automatically open in a seperate window. I believe you also get a popup notification that a GM wants to speak with you.
If all else fails, use common sense. If there was a problem with your account why would they log in and find you in-game to tell you?
This has been a public service announcement, helping you defend your stuff.
Cheers to all the people in trade today warning about this crap on alliance-side.
Elder Holyshell's guide to Settling Down
So the Lunar Festival is over, and any sort of reference to it is automatically out of date. On the other hand, I spent the last few days of the holiday achieving and didn’t have chance to write this, so let’s just pretend it was supposed to
be late in the first place.
A couple of weeks back Khi of the wonderful Tree Burglar set WoW bloggers a challenge.
One of the big parts of this holiday in-game has characters traveling the world to find various elders and pay them a little respect. In return, they pass on a few words that might be wisdom, and you continue on your way. Similarly, we bloggers have the opportunity on a regular basis to share a bit of advice, but it’s often directed toward those that already have some experience in our area.
So for this Lunar Festival, I have a bit of a challenge for you: Write something directed not at those that have months or years of experience, but for those that are just getting started.
You’re the Elder. Pretend you’re smart for a few days =P
