has served us well, gave those of us who’d never seen it the chance to do Naxxramas, it gave us the awesomeness of Ulduar, the trash-free Trial of the Crusader and the cool Icecrown Citadel. But its time has come to an end, in a matter of months we’ll be sitting down to try the first raid of Cataclysm.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news… But the first Cata raid is going to be pretty easy.
Now before you get your panties all up in a bunch and hit the forums to QQ allow me to explain now only why it will happen, but why it must happen.
This Sunday Everlightly will be running the first of many Gold DKP runs on Emerald Dream, below is his post from the Official forums explaining how it all works and how you can be involved.
Greetings! Cynicism here and before you ask, yes, the name is appropriate. I didn’t look up a random word in a dictionary and come across it like some people you see in game who
have a name that looks cool but probably means ‘Sanitary Towel’ in Swahili. I’m here to write about the world-class raiding community from a personal point of view as most people have become tired of being curled in the foetal position in a darkened corner while I rant. Hopefully you will enjoy this rather mild introduction to these articles and will be prompted to read the next ones as they come out. Please be assured that it will most likely only get worse as it goes on so have a stiff drink at the ready and let us begin!
I usually have a quick scan of my favourite wow related forums, when I have an extended breather
at work. This post caught my eye, and gave me some inspirati
on to rant!
Even though I am somewhat guilty, well I think pretty much every player is guilty of some minor offences, except maybe Shell ? Judging by Shell’s incredible disdain to quest-helper (She reckons its cheating) she may be one of the few innocents.
This is my favourite chronicle, but there are quite a few inside jokes, as Bonzo wrote this primarily for our guild, not really intended for the wider audience. However, I am confident you will still enjoy it.
Bonzo mentioned in
his previous comment, that “Unleashed” is the guild’s scapegoat, ANYTHING and I mean ANYTHING that goes wrong, its all Pambos’ fault. So if the server is down or there are no more additional instances or gawd forbid there is no more whiskey, you can rest assured its probably Pambos’s fault.
Malignant, well really thats Mal.
Magpawacar is one of those WOW Fortune 500 members, as you will gather! There are more, but I am sure you want to get started on reading what Bonzo, our unlikely hero of the Horde got up to this time.
Once again throwing myself with abandon into a total FAILPUG!, I bring you a tale of roguetards, strange Greeks and amazingly calm raid leading.
re the scene,
you’ve logged in with the intention of catching up on some achievements, because you’re racing a mage to 7k points. You have a spreadsheet, and a detailed plan for the day, and then a guildie suggests you come to a pugged ToC25. “It’ll be fun”. Yeah, right.
That is the question.
For those who aren’t aware, Icecrown Citadel zone-wide buffs have gone live on US servers (my gnomes tell me it’s not live for us yet, wh
ich can only mean it’s coming tomorrow). The current buff will give a 5% increase to your health, damage and healing done, which is a pretty big increase when you think about it. It’s very likely that higher percentage buffs will be activated over time.
The catch here is that these buffs are optional, but either the whole raid takes them or the whole raid doesn’t so far as I can tell. There are bound to be disagreements among those who would rather get a “clean” kill and those who just want to get through the bosses as quickly as possible, but if it were up to you which camp would you
